Capital Contractors, Inc. is based in Lincoln, Nebraska. We are a diversified structural steel fabricator. Capital provides steel fabrication services to the automobile and railroad bridge market and the commercial and industrial building market.
History
The company was founded in 1904 as the HT Ward & Co. in Tecumseh, Nebraska. Initially the company focused on engineering and general contracting. One of the company's early projects was the Saline County Nebraska Truss Bridge. The project was completed in 1906 for $1,275.00
Since that time HT Ward has expanded and in 1951 Capital Steel and Capital Bridge were established as separate divisions. In 1987, Capital Contractors, Inc. was established as the holding company for Capital Steel Company and Capital Bridge Company.
For over 100 years, starting with the HT Ward Company and expanding into Capital Contractors, Inc., the business has been family owned. Capital has been and will continue to be focused on the long term benefit and growth of its clients, employees and community.
